Shipwreck Shoal closed-off building
Situated on a mountain north of the Shipwreck Shoal, this remote structure is only accessible via a rope bridge created by solving a fox statue puzzle.
What to do
- Rotate the two fox statues on the shore so they face each other to spawn a rope bridge.
- After crossing, rotate two more fox statues near the door, this time so they both face forward to unlock the entrance.
- Enter to find the altar and loot.
Rewards
- Altar of Reflection (grants one skill point).
- Intelligence Report (adds Sarufutsu Lighthouse as a point of interest on your map).
- Puzzle Box Fragment (if quest is active).
- Miscellaneous loot (arrows, herbs).
Crimson Forest closed-off building
Located directly north of the ‘M’ and ‘S’ in Crimson Forest, this building is guarded by fox statues and lanterns.
What to do
- Pick up the nearby brazier torch.
- Light only the two lanterns beneath fox statues in a lying-down posture.
- Do not light lanterns under sitting foxes—this triggers a trap.
- Once the correct lanterns are lit, the door unlocks.

Sarobetsu Forest closed-off building

- Locate the straw lantern with an arrow and walk behind it to fall into a secret pit.
- Interact with the fox statue inside the pit.
- Return to the doorway and place the found statue (with left paw raised) onto the left altar to unlock the entrance.

Sentinel Forest closed-off building

- From the front, head left into the maze and strike the bamboo at the first fork to reveal the missing fox statue.
- Bring the statue to the building’s front and place it beside the door.
- Enter once the statue is in position.
