After completing the Jinming Pool Campaign, you’ll encounter Tang Ji’an, an elder boatman muttering to himself outside the watergate, burdened by a past explosion he never understood. By retrieving a long-lost explosive blueprint, you’ll help him finally make peace with his craft and access the treasure he guards.
Location and how to start
You can begin this Wandering Tale immediately after finishing the Jinming Pool Campaign. Once the campaign ends, your character automatically arrives at the Bian River Gate, where you’ll find Tang Ji’an on a small boat.
Walkthrough
Follow these steps to complete All Beauty Fades Wandering Tale in Where Winds Meet:
Step 1
At the Bian River Gate, examine the locked chest on the dock. You’ll notice that it belongs to Tang Ji’an, who is sitting on a nearby boat.
Step 2
Talk to Tang Ji’an. He explains that he’s searching for the truth behind a past explosion and needs the explosives blueprint to finally understand what happened. He will only share his treasure with you once you bring him this document.
Step 3
Travel to Masterwood Hamlet.
Step 4
Search the area until you discover an abandoned Mozi Shrine., there lies a secret cave, which is Murong Yuan's secret hideout.

Step 5
Enter the cave. Inside, search the chamber until you find the explosive blueprint placed on a wooden table.
Step 6
Imperial guards will appear out of nowhere, defeat them to move further.
Step 7
Return to Tang Ji’an at the Bian River Gate and hand over the blueprint. With the explanation he has sought for years finally in his hands, he becomes content. The wandering tale concludes here.
Step 8
Once the tale ends, return to the locked chest on the dock. You can now open it and claim Tang Ji’an’s treasure.
