AGM, a Germany brand is reportedly working on a new smartphone dubbed the AGM X2 which has appeared on Weibo earlier today.
The leak reveals a rather interesting set of specs which if true, would make it one hell of a smartphone. At least, on paper. The real life performance, however, will mostly be dependent on how well the company optimizes the software.
Anyway, moving ahead, the leak suggests that the AGM X2 will come with support for VOC (volatile organic compounds) detection. It can detect the quality of the air in your surroundings.

The smartphone will apparently don MIL-STD-810G US military certified body. There’s also a protective belt running across all the sides of the device as you can see from the image above.
What caught our attention the most is the inclusion of 8GB of RAM, 256GB of onboard storage and a massive (yeah, that’s an understatement) 10,000mAh battery.
And if that weren’t enough, the AGM X2 will be a modular phone. Akin to the Moto Z line, it has the pogo pins on the back which would allow you to snap mods on the back.

To be frank, the smartphone already looks pretty bulky from the images and adding mods to it externally would only defeat the purpose of a smartphone — yep, the portability.
The AGM X2’s leaked images pretty much make it clear that the smartphone is aimed at folks who tend to live on the edge.
The handset will reportedly be launched in two variants and will carry a high price tag. There’s no word on the launch just yet. We will keep you updated should more details surface on the internet.
