A mysterious Motorola smartphone has been spotted at the FCC lately. The device looks like it might be the manufacturer’s next unlocked flagship smartphone.

The device seems to be slightly bigger than Verizon’s DROID Turbo, and it seems to support single LTE band without support for the Verizon network, Wi-Fi, LTE Advanced and also works with the Turbo Charger of Motorola.

Lately, there were rumors and speculations suggesting that Motorola might launch a device with a 5.5 inch Quad HD 1440p display that will measure relatively bigger than the DROID Turbo carrying a 5.2 inch display. The leaked benchmark of a new Motorola device codenamed Kinzie also tipped at a 5.5 inch Quad HD display.

The Motorola smartphone with the model number 5137 carries the dimensions 153.6 x 75.3 mm and 161.8 mm diagonal length. In comparison, the DROID Turbo measures 143.49 x 73.33 mm and has a diagonal length of 154.49 mm.

Apart from the dimensions, the smartphone in question seems to support LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 7, 12, 17, 25 and 41. It also appears to support GSM bands 2, 4 and 5 tipping that it will support T-Mobile or AT&T.

As there seems to be testing done for the LTE Advanced and MIMO Wi-Fi, we can expect the smartphone to be really fast in downloading anything. The LTE-A carrier aggregation introduced by Qualcomm suggests that it could be powered by Snapdragon 808 or Snapdragon 810.

As the phone appears to be tested with Motorola’s Turbo Chargers, we can come to a conclusion that it supports the Quick Charge 2.0 technology of Qualcomm. The FCC has tested this device with three separate chargers – a regular Motorola AC adapter, Turbo Charger (SPN5864A) and a mystery charger (SPN5886A) that could be a smaller and better Turbo Charger in the pipeline.

The battery of the smartphone is the FX30 model. The FCC ID detail has been found in the Settings menu that can be accessed by going to Settings -> About Phone -> Regulatory Information.
