You can only steal from other players at night, so stack speed and stealth — bunnies, a speed mushroom, an invisibility potion, and a flashbang — then grab their crops and race back to your own base.
Stealing in Grow a Garden 2 is its own mini-game, and there’s a surprising amount you can stack to make it work. Get the timing, the pets, and the gear right and you go from a slow turtle to the fastest player on the server.

Locking your base and catching thieves
The only way to lock your base at night is to stand inside your garden. While you’re in there, nobody can take anything from you, so if you don’t want to be robbed, just go sit in your plot.
If someone does steal from you, you can chase them down and whack them with your shovel — that makes them drop everything they grabbed. But if they make it back to their own base first, they keep all of it. A message pops up saying someone is stealing from you; the fastest reaction is to click the garden button at the top of the screen to teleport home, then try to catch them before they escape.
Pets that make stealing easier
The bunnies are the standout pick. Each equipped bunny gives extra walk speed, and they stack — running four at once goes from a crawl to near-impossible to catch, with room to add a fifth for a million. More bunnies, more speed.
The other one worth chasing is the raccoon. At nighttime it goes off on its own solo mission, steals from other players in your server, and brings crops back to you. The catch is it can’t touch anyone whose garden is locked, and it grabs whatever’s closest rather than the best fruit. Still, you can sit safely in your locked base and let it do the work — about as low-effort as a stealing build gets.
Gear and Robux items that help
The gear menu is full of options. The speed mushroom stacks with your bunnies for absurd speed, and the invisibility potion is the broken one — the players you’re robbing won’t even see you. You’ll still see your own outline and pets, so consider unequipping pets if you want to go full stealth, since they might give you away. The super-size item won’t help you steal.
The flashbang is thrown like a grenade and whites out a target’s screen for roughly 5 seconds, long enough to walk in and rob them blind. There’s also a teleporter that lets you set a location and snap straight to it.
Over in the Robux shop, the rainbow carpet lets you fly around — but it drops you the moment you try to pick something up, so no flying heists. The freeze ray locks a player in place for about 3 to 4 seconds while you grab their crops, and there’s a power hose to spray people from a distance plus an item that wraps them in vines.
Before any raid, stack four bunnies and a speed mushroom so you can get in and out before anyone reacts.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you steal during the day?
No. You can only steal from other players at night, so keep an eye on the daylight countdown at the top of the screen.
How do you stop people stealing from you?
Go inside your garden. That locks your base for the night, and nobody can take anything while you’re standing in it.
What happens if someone steals from me?
Catch them and whack them with your shovel to make them drop everything. If they reach their own base first, they keep it — so click the garden button to teleport home fast.
Can you steal while riding the rainbow carpet?
No. When you press E to grab a crop, the carpet drops you. Flying heists aren’t possible.
Does the raccoon steal for you automatically?
Yes. At night it heads out on its own and brings back crops from other players, though it can’t touch locked gardens and grabs random fruit rather than the best ones.
