How to Find Nek & Complete The Vanished Warder
Step 1: Start the Quest with Sly
Go to the Old Camp’s western section near the cartographer Graham.
Find Sly sitting on a bench and interact with him.
Select “All right. I’ll see what I can do.” to accept the quest and start looking for the missing warder Nek.
Step 2: Head to Nek’s Location
From Snaf’s location:

Walk behind Snaf and follow the path.

At the fork, turn right to take the lower trail.

Continue straight until you see Mordrag sitting on a bench near a red-tented building.

Look left to find the Old Camp South Gate.
Exit through the south gate, walk forward slightly, and you’ll see:

A dead tree near a giant rock.

Behind the rock: the cave entrance with molerats.
Step 3: Clear the Cave & Loot Nek

Kill the 3 molerats guarding the cave entrance.

Enter the cave and find Nek’s corpse on the ground.

Loot the Amulet of the Dead Guard from his body.

Also collect: Hellcaps mushrooms and Solanaceae (needed for Snaf’s recipe quest).
Step 4: Report Back to Sly
Return to Sly at the Old Camp’s western side (near the north gate entrance):

Show him the amulet to complete the quest.

You’ll receive 250 EXP and Sly will recommend you to Diego.
Tip: You can pick up Nek’s amulet before meeting Sly if you explored this area early for Snaf’s Recipe quest.
Critical Mistakes to Avoid

Don’t skip the molerats: The cave is guarded by 3 hostile molerats — clear them before entering.
