Spear challenges in Crimson Desert test your weapon mastery through timed feats. Sharpened Spear II focuses on raw output via quick strikes. Here’s everything you need to know about it:
To activate the challenge, go to the Hernand region shown below.

You’re looking for the Nas River Shrine.

Here, interact with the artifact to activate.

Then head to enemy-dense spots in the Hernand region, such as bandit camps southeast of Calphade Gate, where groups of foes naturally cluster for uninterrupted combos.

Preparation steps
Equip any available spear, preferably the free one near Haunted Hill north of Hernand for early access. Ensure full health and stamina, and clear nearby threats to focus solely on the challenge group. Switch to easy mode if needed to minimize interruptions from strong enemies.
How to land 30 spear hits in 30 seconds
Position yourself centrally among a large enemy pack to keep constant pressure without chasing individuals.
Step 1: Locate and aggro the group
Approach a camp with 5+ weak enemies. Light attack one to draw the full group without scattering them. Back into the center so they surround you tightly.

Step 2: Initiate light attack chain
Spam the light attack button immediately—the spear unleashes a 4-5 jab sequence per full combo, each jab registering separate hits. Do not pause or dodge; let enemies’ proximity fuel multi-target hits.

Step 3: Maintain momentum without switching targets
Stay planted in the cluster. The rapid poke animation overlaps hits across multiple foes naturally. If foes die early, surviving ones provide continued padding—aim for nonstop input over 30 seconds.

Step 4: Monitor the timer and adjust
Glance at the on-screen challenge tracker. If hits lag below 20 by 15 seconds, reposition deeper into remaining enemies. End exactly at 30 hits as the timer expires.

Step 5: Retry if failed
Camps respawn quickly. Heal up, re-aggro, and refine positioning for denser packing next time.

Nail this challenge to snag an Abyss Artifact, boosting your spear builds and progressing toward full weapon mastery in Crimson Desert.

Tips for mastery
Combine with Counter Stance skill from Armed Combat tree for hybrid defense if groups overwhelm, but prioritize offense. Test in smaller groups first to feel the hit rhythm. Completing this unlocks pathways to advanced spear feats like stab chains.
