Step 2: Find a crowded enemy group

Travel to any area with several enemies, since the location itself is not important for the clear. A dense group matters more than enemy type because the goal is to hit three targets with one shield attack.

Step 3: Gather enemies together

If the enemies are spread out, back into a corner or wait for them to close in so they bunch up more tightly. Trying this while standing still is much harder, so the more compact the group, the better.

Step 4: Build momentum

Hold left bumper to raise your shield, then start running toward the group. Moving forward gives the shield attack extra reach, which makes it easier to connect with three enemies at once.

Step 5: Strike with the shield

As you enter the enemy cluster, press right trigger to perform the shield spin attack. This is the key action needed to swing the shield through multiple enemies in one movement.

Step 6: Repeat if needed

If you miss the three-hit line, reset by regrouping enemies and trying again. The challenge is straightforward once the group is tight enough, so the main difficulty is setup rather than execution.

Common mistakes

  • Standing still before attacking, which makes the swing too narrow and inconsistent.

  • Fighting enemies that are too spread out, which prevents the shield from clipping three targets at once.

  • Attacking too early before the enemy group has fully closed in.

  • Focusing on damage or kills instead of the actual objective, which only requires one grouped shield hit.

The challenge does not ask for kills, only for a single shield hit to connect with three enemies at once. Running before attacking adds distance and makes the shield swing cover more space, which is why the moving approach is much more effective than standing still.
