This primary quest in the Arc Raiders: Riven Tides expansion, titled Shoring Up Defenses, requires you to perform several fortification tasks around the map to secure the region against potential threats. One of the most specific objectives in this quest is to board up shuttered windows in the hotel.
While the map of Riven Tides is sprawling, this particular stage of the quest focuses on the central developed areas of the map, specifically near the coastline where the prominent hotel complex is situated.
Locating the Hotel Shuttered Windows
To find the windows that need boarding, you must travel to the Hotel Panorama Azzurro, which is located on the western side of the main harbor area.
This large multi-story structure is a significant landmark, visible from much of the surrounding coastline.
Once you arrive at the hotel complex, head to the second floor of the main building. You are looking for a specific corridor that overlooks the lower balcony area.
The windows that require boarding are not the large open glass panels but rather the metal-shuttered windows that line the interior hallways of the guest rooms.
How to Board Up the Windows
When you approach one of the marked shuttered windows, you will see a prompt to interact with it. To successfully board them up, you will need to have wood in your inventory. These materials are common throughout the map and can be scavenged from crates, abandoned construction sites, or by breaking down wooden debris found in the streets.
Stand directly in front of the shuttered window and hold the interaction button to begin nailing the boards in place.
The process takes a few seconds per window, during which you are vulnerable to any wandering enemies in the hotel, so it is best to clear the immediate area of threats before starting.
Completing the Shoring Up Defenses Questline
Boarding up these windows is just one component of the larger Shoring Up Defenses objective. To complete the entire quest, you will also need to:

Secure Fireflies: Capture a specific number of fireflies as requested in the quest log.

Neutralize Threats: Destroy a set number of Wasps and Fireflies that are patrolling the Riven Tides region.

Fortify Structures: Use ARC Alloy to reinforce various structures, often found on top of Stacking Yard cranes or similar high-altitude points.
The hotel portion is often the final hurdle due to its specific location within the building. Once the final board is placed on the hotel windows, your quest log will update, allowing you to move on to the next phase of the Riven Tides campaign.
