What to know
- Mire Metal Ingot is a swamp-tier crafting material used for weapon upgrades and other advanced progression.
- You need two ingredients: Ancient Scraps and Quagmire Powder.
- Ancient Scraps come from the swamp’s Ancient Debris area in the Cursed Swamps.
- The ingot is crafted in a Large Smelting Furnace, which must be built before you can process the materials.
Mire Metal is one of the most important mid-to-late game resources in Windrose because it opens up swamp-tier weapon progression. The process is straightforward once you know where to farm and which station to use, but the swamp enemies and material requirements make preparation necessary.

| Topic | Details |
|---|---|
| Resource name | Mire Metal Ingot |
| Main use | Weapon upgrades and swamp-tier progression |
| Required materials | 2 Ancient Scraps, 1 Quagmire Powder |
| Crafting station | Large Smelting Furnace |
| Main farming zone | Cursed Swamps, especially Ancient Debris sites |
How to get Ancient Scraps
Ancient Scraps are the harder part of the recipe because they must be mined from the swamp.

The material is found at Ancient Debris sites in the Cursed Swamps, where it appears on dead tree-like structures and related deposits.

Step 1
Reach the swamp region and move toward Ancient Debris sites in the Cursed Swamps.
Step 2
Look for ancient statue-like things attached to dead tree parts and mine them like other metal nodes.

Step 3
Collect as many scraps as you can in one run, because the area is hostile and repeated trips waste time.

How to get Quagmire Powder
Quagmire Powder is the second ingredient for Mire Metal Ingots.

You need it alongside Ancient Scraps, and the swamp run is where you gather both resources efficiently.
Step 1
Quagmire Powder is dropped by the plague enemies. So if you find them, make sure to take them out.

Step 2
Keep enough powder for ingot crafting, since the recipe consumes one Quagmire Powder per Mire Metal Ingot.

Step 3
Return to base once you have enough powder and scraps for multiple ingots.
How to build the furnace
You cannot craft Mire Metal Ingots without the Large Smelting Furnace. The furnace needs to be unlocked and built at your base before the ingot recipe becomes useful.

Step 1
Prepare the required build materials for the Large Smelting Furnace: 20 Hewn Stones, 10 Foothills Iron Ingots, and 20 Clay.

Step 2
Use the build menu near your workstation setup to place the Large Smelting Furnace at your base.
Step 3
Make sure your crafting area is ready for advanced smelting before you start converting swamp materials into ingots.
How to craft Mire Metal Ingots
Once you have the furnace and the materials, the recipe is simple. Each Mire Metal Ingot costs 2 Ancient Scraps and 1 Quagmire Powder.
Step 1
Open the Large Smelting Furnace at your base.

Step 2
Place 2 Ancient Scraps and 1 Quagmire Powder into the crafting input.
Step 3
Craft the Mire Metal Ingot and repeat the process until you have enough for your upgrades.

How to use Mire Metal
Mire Metal Ingots are used as a primary swamp resource for weapon progression and upgrades. The material is an advanced crafting item, so it is worth stockpiling before you commit to weapon improvement paths.
A good approach is to save your first batch for the weapons you use most often instead of spreading it across too many upgrades. That helps you get the most value out of the limited swamp farming you do early on.
Farming route and pacing
The most efficient route is simple: gather Ancient Scraps in the Cursed Swamps, collect the required Quagmire Powder, then return to your base and smelt everything in the Large Smelting Furnace. Because the swamp enemies are tough, it is safer to make each run count instead of making many small trips.
Mire Metal sits in the swamp progression tier and supports stronger gear development once you unlock it. The main bottleneck is not the recipe itself, but reaching the swamp materials safely and having the furnace ready beforehand.
