Key locations in Jade Gate Pass
Jade Gate Pass spans deserts, camps, and ruins southeast of core Hexi areas, with Boundary Stones at Karez, Camel Station, Horsehelm Village, Peaceward Camp, Howling Sand Outpost, Wraithridge Pass, Outside Whitecrown City, and Shifting Sands for quick travel.
Flags hide near these spots amid Utuk Raptors, soldiers, and environmental hazards like torn trees and dried wells. Teleporting via stones speeds up the hunt across the sandy expanse dotted with Milky Way Paths and ancient structures.
How to start the flag hunt
Begin by tracking the Whitecrown City campaign in your journal. Head southeast to the Whitecrown City entrance and interact with the white beam of light piercing the gates. Insist to the guard to enter, triggering a brief transport to the past city, a road walk to an arena, and an unavoidable boss skirmish with the Grand Protector of Anxi. You snap back outside post-fight, now tasked with gathering the five flags.

Flag 1: Anxi Army 25th Garrison Banner
Spawn near Whitecrown City gates by a dried-up well, just west of the entrance. Grab it quickly as it’s the closest.
Flag 2: Anxi Army 42nd Garrison Banner
Head north to Peaceward Camp, northeast of Horsehelm Village Boundary Stone.
Find it planted by a building and campfire amid tents.
Flag 3: Anxi Army 11th Garrison Banner
Travel northeast to Howling Sand Outpost.
Climb the main building rooftop; a soldier and Utuk Raptors patrol. But skip combat. Simply snag and go.
Flag 4: Anxi Army 35th Garrison Banner
Teleport to Karez Boundary Stone, then west to Lost Crossing area. Look in the deserted zone near a torn tree for this one.
Flag 5: Anxi Army 23rd Garrison Banner
South of Jade Gate Pass near Squarewall Hold Ruins Boundary Stone. It’s in open sands, easy to spot once marked.
Return all flags to the white beam outside Whitecrown City and speak to the guard.
Continuing the campaign after flags
Touch the military flag inside the past Whitecrown City to warp to a grain tower in Wraithridge Pass. Follow a soldier, write a family letter at the table for a courier, then investigate upstairs. An explosion freezes time—use Cloud Steps on floating debris to reach and touch another flag. Assemble bridges with Cosmic Reversal on floating roofs, man ballistas to down flying siege monsters until destroyed, descend via platforms, defeat seven Utuk Raptors on the wall, aid a wounded soldier, then Cloud Step through another frozen explosion to a final flag.
Activate the Hero’s Tomb on the dusty road and place flags in highlighted spots to summon Guo Xin.

Repeatable clears offer chests with Starweave/Jadeclasp Sets, Gear Echoes, appearances, Bamboocut materials, and more.
Mastering the Guo Xin boss fight
Guo Xin starts slow with melee swings and soldier summons—parry troops to drain his Qi fast. Phase 2 transforms him into Iron-Blooded Prince: dodge lightning, ranged shots, and feints. Stay mobile, parry wisely, strike openings. Difficulty rates four stars; victory ends the siege in a cutscene.
