Exploration milestones in Arknights: Endfield are primarily a progression check. If you’re stuck below Exploration Level 3, what you’re really missing is Authority. Once you hit Authority Level 25, your Exploration Level updates accordingly, and you can continue into content gated behind that exploration tier.

Step 1: Spend your Sanity on Protocol Spaces
Protocol Spaces are one of the fastest ways to convert Sanity into Operational EXP, which directly increases Authority. If you want the most consistent progress per session, prioritize finishing these runs whenever you have Sanity available.
Step 2: Clear your Daily Tasks every day
Daily Tasks are simple, reliable Operational EXP bursts and stack up quickly over a few days. Treat these as your baseline routine so Authority growth doesn’t slow down between longer quest sessions.
Step 3: Push Main Missions whenever you can
Main Missions are recommended because they award large Operational EXP and naturally move your story progression forward. If you’re choosing between optional activities, Main Missions are usually the cleanest path to Authority 25.
Step 4: Finish Operation Manual objectives as you unlock them
Operation Manual missions are designed to guide progression and also award Operational EXP alongside other rewards. If you feel under-leveled for the next story step, checking these objectives often gives you clear, efficient tasks to close the gap.
Step 5: Sweep up exploration EXP while traveling
Exploration actions such as opening chests, unlocking teleport points, and building things like mining rigs provide smaller amounts of Operational EXP, but they add up. Do these opportunistically while moving between objectives to keep Authority climbing without extra grind loops.
Get to Exploration Level 3 without over-grinding
If you’re close to Authority 25, prioritize Main Missions and Daily Tasks first, then use Protocol Spaces to fill whatever EXP you’re missing. If you run out of structured objectives, roaming for chests and key unlocks can provide the last bit of Operational EXP you need.
