What to know
-
Perfect Dodge triggers from precise timing: dodge as the enemy attack “hits,” not early.
-
Watch for a red flash/telegraph on enemy attacks, then dodge during that window.
-
A normal dodge costs stamina, and you can typically dodge up to two times consecutively.
-
Perfect Dodge helps your economy: it restores some stamina and can help restore Skill Points (SP).
You’ll get more consistent Perfect Dodges if you treat them like a “last-instant” input instead of a reaction to the start of an animation. The game also supports dodging mid-combo without breaking your attack chain, so you can keep pressure up while still fishing for perfect timing.
A Perfect Dodge happens when you dodge an enemy attack with precise timing, and guides commonly describe the best cue as dodging on the red flash. When you succeed, you get a tangible payoff: Perfect Dodge restores about half the stamina spent (as described in current combat tips) and can also restore SP, helping you keep using skills in longer fights.
The exact inputs for dodging (PC and controller)
Your Perfect Dodge uses the same button as your regular dodge—it’s the timing that changes.
| Platform / Input type | Default dodge input |
|---|---|
| PC (keyboard + mouse) | Right Mouse Button (RMB) or Left Shift |
| Controller | Circle (listed as “Dash Toggle”) |
How to do a Perfect Dodge in Arknights Endfield
Step 1: Set up a safe practice target

Pick a single melee enemy with a clear wind-up so you can focus on recognizing the telegraph and impact timing.
Step 2: Lock in on the attack cue

Wait for the enemy’s committed attack moment—many attacks are signaled by a red flash/telegraph—then prepare to dodge at the hit timing rather than at the start of the wind-up.
Step 3: Press dodge at the impact moment

Hit Dodge (RMB/Left Shift on PC, Circle on controller) as the strike would connect. If you dodge too early, you’ll usually get a normal dodge and lose stamina without the Perfect Dodge payoff.
Step 4: Use mid-combo dodges to keep damage up

Because dodging mid-combo does not interrupt your attack chain, you can keep attacking and still dodge “on beat” when the enemy swings.
Step 5: Convert the Perfect Dodge into momentum

When you Perfect Dodge consistently, you’ll stabilize stamina usage (via partial refund) and improve your SP flow (via Perfect Dodge SP restoration), letting you spend skills more freely across longer encounters.
Common mistakes that prevent Perfect Dodges
-
Dodging on animation start instead of on the hit moment; the recommended cue is the red flash timing window.
-
Panic-dodging repeatedly: you can dodge up to two times consecutively, so spacing and timing matter more than spam.
-
Ignoring stamina management: even with Perfect Dodge refunds, regular dodging still costs stamina, so wasted dodges reduce your options.
Turning Perfect Dodge into a consistent skill
If you want Perfect Dodges on demand, focus on reading the red flash, dodging at the moment of contact, and practicing against a single enemy until your timing is consistent. As you improve, you’ll preserve stamina better and keep your SP generation smoother for skill-heavy fights.
