What to know
- There are five obelisks in Tidefall, each requiring a unique fish (often an exotic) to “complete” that obelisk.
- The puzzle unlocks a hidden area: a locked gate inside Tidefall Castle that grants access to the Plesiosaur.
- Each correct offering disables that obelisk; after all are done, the green overgrown path near the waterfall becomes accessible.
- The Plesiosaur is vision secər rarity and can take many Totem uses to spawn after the puzzle is finished.
The Tidefall Obelisk Puzzle is one of the most important progression challenges in Fisch, unlocking access to Tidefall Castle and the ultra-rare Plesiosaur. If you’re aiming for late-game rods and high-tier fishing, completing this puzzle is a must. This guide walks you through every obelisk, the required fish, and how to claim your Plesiosaur reward.

How to Catch the Plesiosaur in Fisch (Tidefall Update)
Follow the steps below to catch the Plesiosaur in Fisch with ease:
Step 1: Complete the Obelisk Puzzle
Finish all five Tidefall obelisks by offering the correct fish to each one. This unlocks access to Tidefall Castle.

Step 2: Reach Tidefall Castle
Go to the green, overgrown area near the Tidefall waterfall and glide across the water to the raised platform where the castle is located.
Step 3: Enter the Castle Gate
Head inside the castle and pass through the gate, which opens only after the obelisk puzzle is complete.

Step 4: Spawn and catch the Plesiosaur
Inside the castle, use the Totem repeatedly to trigger the Plesiosaur’s spawn, then fish it normally and secure the catch, its spawn rate is very low, so multiple attempts may be needed before it appears.
