Microsoft has added Microsoft 365 Companions to Windows 11’s taskbar. This feature brings your contacts, files, and calendar events right to your taskbar.
You can now see your contacts, files, and calendar events with a single click on the taskbar. Windows chief Pavan Davuluri showcased this productivity-boosting feature at the Microsoft Ignite 2024 conference.
The interface looks like the Phone Link app from the Windows 11 24H2 update. You can check your contacts, files, and calendar events without opening different apps.
This change helps you work faster by putting your information in one place. You can find what you need quickly while doing other tasks.
Microsoft hasn’t said if other companies can add their apps to this taskbar system yet. We’ll have to wait and see what other changes come to Windows 11.
