- You can find Recap 2024 in the YouTube Music app’s. But it could appear in your YouTube app as well. Keep an eye out for the “Your 2024 Music Recap is here” banner and do check the ‘Recap’ section from your ‘Account’.
YouTube Music 2024 Recap’s come early this year. Very early in fact. After some Reddit users starting reporting they received their yearly YouTube Music recap last week, I wasn’t sure why the music streaming service was jumping the gun this year. But it wasn’t until I received my very own YTM ’24 recap that it became clear to me that all of December and a third of November just doesn’t exist in YouTube Music’s calendar.
With the rushed release of its yearly Recap, YTM has tried to one up Spotify Wrapped. I’m not sure about others. But more than having a cause for early celebration, I actually want a more accurate representation of my listening activity for the year.
In any case, if you haven’t yet received your YTM 2024 Recap yet and want to know what’s in store, here’s a quick look at the metrics that you can expect (and where you should be looking for your yearly YouTube Music Recap).
What to expect from YouTube Music 2024 Recap
Much like last year, your YouTube Music 2024 Recap will include the basic rundown of your top 5 Tracks, Artists, Albums, and Podcasts. This will include the amount of time you’ve spent with them.
Along with these, your recap will also include your Vibes, your Listening Timeline, Musical Moods, and a ‘If your year were a film…’ story.
There’s also a musical photo album and personalized music mixes that you can get on the YTM app. You can save your top tracks from Recap 2024 with a Save to library option.
Additionally, you can find them on yt.be/MusicRecap. Like every year, you’ll also be able to download and save your recap stories, as well as ‘Share’ them with the rest of the world.
How to find your YouTube Music 2024 yearly Recap
Curiously enough, I didn’t get my YouTube Music 2024 Recap on the YTM app. Instead, I found it while scrolling YouTube. But, after a few minutes, it was available from the ‘Recap’ section on the YouTube Music app’s Account page as well.
So look for your Recap in the YouTube Music app, as well as the YouTube app. Either way, it doesn’t look like anything we listen to for the rest of the year will count.
