- The beta for One UI 7.0 is expected to become available on July 29th.
The upcoming Samsung One UI 7.0 update is gearing up to be a treasure trove of surprising new changes and significant tweaks. The update, which is expected to release in October, will include everything from new lock screen customizations and app icons to a more advanced Galaxy AI. But it’s the software-based camera improvements that is the talk of the town.
Among the select phones that will receive the One UI 7.0 update, Galaxy S24 Ultra is first in line. According to leaks by industry insiders, the update will include significant optimization for 1x and 5x 50MP modes for the primary and telephoto cameras on the S24 Ultra. This will allow the camera to achieve the picture quality of pixel-binned 12MP – with better clarity.
Usually, the pixel-binned 12MP mode on the S24 Ultra results in better overall picture quality. The same can now be achieved with the primary and telephoto cameras on the S24 Ultra once it receives the One UI 7.0 update.
It’s always a delight to see the camera experience get better with a software update. And it looks like it’s the same story across other device elements as well. With One UI 7.0, Samsung is leaning heavily towards improving the overall user experience.
Although the final, stable release is still a few months away, the beta update will begin rolling out (to those enrolled in the One UI Beta Program) on July 29.
