The Google Nexus 7 32GB model has once again made a surprise appearance, this time popping up on the Staples Advantage website for business users. With a buzz of rumours surrounding it over the past few days, the Nexus 7 32GB listing has shown up advertently, or inadvertently, on retailer listings and grapevine. A Japanese youngster ordered a 16GB Nexus 7 from the Play Store, and actually received a 32GB Nexus 7 instead, obviously due to a shipping error, but he couldn’t have been happier

Staples pegs the Nexus 7 32GB price at $248.37, as you can see above, which is about $3 lesser than that of the current 16GB model (also listed above). As recent rumours suggested, it would seem logical that Google would most probably phase out the 16GB model, and just retain the 8GB and 32GB variants in its portfolio. The tentative release data for the 32GB model is apparently set to October 18th, which seems far too soon, considering it is just a day awa, and we have not heard anything from Google as yet on this.

As tempting as it may seem, nothing can be taken for granted till there is official word from Google. If you’ve been saving up and planning to pick up a 16GB Nexus for Christmas, you may want to hold your breath for a few more days now, and get double the storage capacity for the same price. Till then, let’s wait and watch what other surprises the Nexus 7 32 GB has in store for us.
