Hackers Working on to Bring Multitouch on Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Android phone

Sony Ericsson X10 Multitouch Hack

The sort of hacks we’re seeing popping up from the XDA Forums these days — including in-the-works Sense UI for Samsung galaxy S — this one though shocking, fails to surprise us.

Brilliant minds at the XDA Forums are trying out something that even the maker of the phone said wasn’t possible. It’s still hard to believe but it’s not fake news or kinda rumor stuff since we do have a video as a proof from the guys who’re working on it. Check it out in the end of this article.

You can see in the video, the screen did react to multitouch – in its very basic form. We suspect it won’t make to live on your phone since Sony’s statement — about limiting the capabilities of the phone — still rungs loud in our ear. But we won’t be surprised if these guys do manage to make something workable for a small class of X10 users who won’t stop at nothing to live with it. Now that Android 2.1 update is seeing it’s days on the X10 here is a hope that multitouch too gets lucky!
